Oilers Track and Field Dominate G-MAC | Men Finish 1st and Women Take 2nd

OWENSBORO, KY- The University of Findlay men's outdoor track and field team won the Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) championship with 183 points while the women's team finished second with 160 points.

Men 

Senior Austin Combs took home the honor for Field Athlete of the Meet while freshman Gabe Clement was awarded the Freshman of the Meet.

Senior Martin Etsey won the triple jump title for the Oilers on the third day of the meet with a provisional mark of 49'01.75 while sophomore Eliot Cummings finished as the runner-up at 48'07.25.

Sophomore Noah Fisher won the 5,00-meter run with a time of 14:40.92 while sophomore Jordan Foster was second in the event with a time of 14:45.62.

Junior Josh Verhoff took second in the 200-meter dash with a time of 21.40 while freshman Gabe Clement was second in the javelin with a throw of 176'11.

Women 

Sophomore Simone Green captured another championship on the third day of competition after winning the triple jump with a mark of 39'07.25 to break her own school record.

The women's 4x100 team consisting of freshmen Nicole Fishpaw, freshmen Jordan Taylor, freshmen Taylor Ivory, and senior Michaela Butler finished in first with a time of 46.76 while senior Hannah Thompson took home the gold in the 5,000-meter run with a time of 16:57.14.

Freshman Kylie Ray took runner-up honors in the 400-meter hurdles with a time of 1:01.38 as well during the afternoon.
