Oilers Wrap-Up Weekend at Penn State

Results

State College, Pa.- The University of Findlay's track teams competed in day two of the  PSU National Invitational on Saturday, Jan. 28. The meet featured primarily Division I programs including Penn State, Virginia, Penn, Duke, and more. The Oilers had limited athletes participating in the meet.

Top Results

Women

Simone Green (Jr.)- Took seventh place in the triple jump with a mark of 11.88m.

Trista Fintel (So.)- Placed eighth in shot put with a throw of 14.40m on her third attempt. Her mark meets the NCAA provisional standard.

Paige Emnett (Sr.)- Finished third in the shot put with a mark of 14.29m which came on her third attempt. Her mark meets the NCAA provisional standard.

Men

Sherron Jones (Fr.)- Finished third in the 200m with a time of 22.15 seconds.

Noah Fisher (So.)- Came in third place in the 3000m with a time of 8:21.39 seconds. His mark meets the NCAA provisional standard.

Josh Verhoff (Sr.)- Placed fifth in the 200m with a time of 21.68 seconds.

Shakur Payton (So.)- Finished sixth in the high jump with a mark of the 2.00m

Jacob Michael (So.)- Came in first place with a distance of 4.95m. His mark meets the NCAA provisional standard.

The Oilers will be back in action Friday, February 3rd in Ashland, Ohio as they complete in the Jud Logan Light Giver Open.
