Steve Bruskotter has returned to the University of Findlay to coach the pole vaulters after retiring from coaching in 2015. The 2017-18 season will be his sixth season coaching at Findlay.

While at Findlay, Bruskotter three-time all-American, national champion, and University of Findlay indoor pole vault record holder Shane Shockey. Bruskotter also coached Findlay's outdoor pole vault record holder Cory Shank.

Before his time at Findlay, Bruskotter coached pole vaulters for 36 years at the high school level, taking 22 athletes to the Ohio state meet, three of which earned state tittles. 32 of those years were spent at Bluffton High School. After his time in the high school ranks, Bruskotter was inducted into the Ohio Association of Track and Cross Country Coaches Hall of Fame.

Bruskotter and his wife reside in Ottawa, Ohio.
