Aubry, Bardall Key Oilers 76-63 Win At Urbana

The University of Findlay women's basketball team went on the road and defeated Urbana University by a score of 76-63 on Saturday, January 22 in Urbana, Ohio. The victory gives the Oilers a 12-4 record on the season.

Junior guards Clare Aubry and Laura Bardall led the charge as they poured in 23 and 22 points, respectively, in the win.

Aubry did her damage on 9-of-17 shooting, hitting 4-of-8 shots from three point land, and also added six assists, five rebounds and three steals.

Bardall connected on 8-of-10 field goal attempts while chipping in four rebounds and four assists in the win.

Sophomore forward Tai Dotson contributed 12 points, eight rebounds and three blocked shots while junior forward Kaitlyn Nelson hit all three of her field goal attempts en route to seven points off the bench.

The Oilers shot 53.8 percent (28-of-52) from the floor and drilled 7-of-12 (58.3%) shots from behind the three point line. They also held the Blue Knights to a mere 38.3 percent (23-of-60) shooting clip in the game.

UF will return to the court on Thursday, January 27 to face Lake Erie College at 8 pm in Painesville, Ohio.
