Brown Named 2nd Team All-GLIAC

Junior forward Kayla Brown was named second team all-Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) as the league office unveiled their annual awards on Friday, March 2 in Ashland, Ohio. 

Brown ended the 2011-12 campaign with averages of 12.7 points, 5.1 rebounds, 2.2 steals and 1.2 assists per game.  She also shot 44.6 percent from the field, 38 percent from behind the three point line and 88.7 percent from the charity stripe.

The Mt. Blanchard, Ohio native had 21 double figure scoring games on the year and led the team with 59 steals.

Ashland's Kari Daugherty and Sue Ramsey earned player of the year and coach of the year honors, respectively, while Ferris State's Christina Branch was the top newcomer.
