Brown Named 1st Team All-GLIAC

Senior forward Kayla Brown was named first team all-Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) on Thursday, March 8 as the league office unveiled their annual postseason awards at the 2013 GLIAC Tournament in Ashland, Ohio.

Brown is averaging 17.6 points, 3.5 rebounds, 2.6 steals and 1.7 assists per game for the Oilers, who are ranked 19th in the nation.  She is shooting 51.9 percent from the floor, 36.9 percent from the three point line and 78.6 percent from the charity stripe.

The Mt. Blanchard, Ohio native, who was a second team all-conference pick last season, has scored in double figures 25 times this season.  She has also led the team in scoring in 21 games during the year.

In addition, senior forward Tai Dotson was named second team all-conference while senior guard Kendra Elam earned all-defensive team honors.

Dotson has averaged 9.7 points and 5.5 rebounds this year for Findlay while shooting 55.0 percent from the field.

Elam meanwhile is averaging 5.5 points, 3.0 rebounds, 1.5 assists and 1.3 steals per game.
