Women's Basketball Schedule Revealed

2013-14 Women's Basketball Schedule

The University of Findlay women's basketball team will open their season on Nov. 16 at Mercyhurst College before they return home to face the University of Northwestern Ohio on Nov. 30.

The month of December begins with a road game at Lake Superior State University on Dec. 5, followed by a road contest at Northwood University on Dec. 7.  The Oilers will then host Michigan Technological University on Dec. 12 before welcoming Northern Michigan University to town on Dec. 14.

On Dec. 19, the Oilers will head to Miami Gardens, Fla. for a game against St. Thomas University before cruising to Nassau, Bahamas for a game against Young Harris College on Dec. 21.

The Oilers will begin the 2014 portion of their schedule on the road at Ferris State University and Grand Valley State University on Jan. 2 and Jan. 4, respectively.  They will then host Saginaw Valley State University on Jan. 9 and Wayne State University on Jan. 11.

After their two-game set in Croy Gymnasium, the Oilers will head to Ohio Dominican University on Jan. 16, which will be followed by a road game at Tiffin University on Jan. 18.  The Oilers will then close the month of January at home against Ashland University (1/23), Lake Erie College (1/25) and Walsh University (1/30).

The Oilers will be on the road at Malone University on Feb. 1 before three straight home contests against Hillsdale College (2/3), Ohio Dominican University (2/6) and Tiffin University (2/8).  They will then be back out on the road for a three games against Ashland University (2/13), Lake Erie College (2/15) and Walsh University (2/20).

The month of February ends with a home game against Malone University on Feb. 2 and then they conclude their regular season slate of games on the road at Hillsdale College on March 1.

The 2014 Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) Tournament is slated to begin on March 5 with the semifinals and finals scheduled for March 8-9.

The Oilers finished last season ranked 20th in the nation with a 24-6 record.  They also posted a 19-3 record in conference play.
