Oilers Cap Season with 78-66 Win at Hillsdale

The University of Findlay women's basketball team ended their season with a 78-66 win over Hillsdale College on Thursday, Feb. 27 in Hillsdale, Mich.

The Oilers, who complete their season with a 12-14 record, shot 40 percent (26-of-65) from the field and forced 24 turnovers.  The Oilers also took care of the basketball as they committed only nine turnovers in the win.

Freshman guard Karli Bonar led the team with 17 points on 6-of-9 shooting.  She canned 5-of-8 shot attempts from three point range and also added two rebounds and an assist.

Senior guard Karli Beasley capped her career with 14 points and five steals while junior guard Nikki Gunning had 13 points and four boards.

Junior guard Ciara Geiger had a good game despite battling foul trouble as she recorded ten points and seven rebounds while sophomore forward Margaret Wuebker also reached double figures with ten points in only 13 minutes of playing time.

Junior forward Lacey Kessler chipped in five points, three rebounds and three steals while senior guard Ashley Andrews had four points, two assists and two steals.

The Chargers, who shot 45.9 percent (27-of-59) from the floor, received 29 points and 21 rebounds from Megan Fogt in the game.
