Women's Basketball Earns Top-25 Academic Honor

The University of Findlay women's basketball team was rewarded for their work in the classroom on July 24 as they earned Top-25 Academic accolades from the Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA).

The award goes to the top-25 programs in each division based on their cumulative grade point average.

The Oilers placed 22nd in the nation among all NCAA Division II programs with a 3.531 grade point average.

The Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) was well represented in the rankings as six teams earned the honor. Ohio Dominican University (3.793) finished second, Saginaw Valley State University (3.61) was eighth, Ashland University (3.605) placed ninth, Northwood University (3.582) was 14th and Michigan Technological University (3.522) was 24th to round out the other GLIAC schools in the standings.
