The Oilers and Lakers have a long history with Findlay holding an 18-6 advantage in the all-time series.  The series history dates back to the 1997-98 campaign when Findlay came away with an 85-51 victory.

The two programs hooked up last year in the season opener for both teams in Erie, Pa. Findlay won the meeting by a score of 75-68 behind 20 points from Karli Bonar.  She made 6-of-9 shot attempts from the field and drained 4-of-7 three point tries.

Ashley Andrews reached double figures with 11 points to go along with five steals while Lacey Kessler registered 11 points, four rebounds and four steals in the win.

Karli Beasley stuffed the stat sheet with eight points, six rebounds and four steals while Nikki Gunning had eight points, two rebounds and two assists.

The Oilers forced 31 turnovers in the game and came away with 21 steals.  They also shot 41.3 percent (26-of-63) from the floor and canned 43.8 percent (7-of-16) of their three point tries.

The Oilers hold a 5-1 lead in the all-time series against Michigan-Dearborn dating back to the 1985-86 campaign when Findlay came away with a 76-62 victory.

The two programs last met during the 2009-10 season, which saw Findlay defeat Michigan-Dearborn by a score of 71-52.

Laura Bardall recorded 19 points and nine rebounds and six assists in the win while Kayla Brown had nine points and nine rebounds.

Audra Mihalic recorded nine points and six assists for the Oilers as well.

The Oilers held a 50-35 advantage on the boards and limited Michigan-Dearborn to a 30.2 percent (16-of-53) shooting clip.

Katie Roberts led Dearborn with 14 points while Kim Lackowski scored 12.

Findlay

The Oilers came away with a 74-66 road win over 22nd-ranked California (Pa.) on Nov. 25 in their first game of the 2014-15 season.

The Oilers jumped out to a 40-31 lead at the half thanks in large part to their hot shooting. Findlay connected on 65.2 percent (15-of-23) of their first half field goal attempts and held the Vulcans to a 35.3 percent (12-of-34) shooting clip.  Findlay's shooting tapered off in the second half, but they got a big lift from Margaret Wuebker, who was saddled with foul trouble for most of the game.

Leading 62-60 with under four minutes to play, Wuebker scored seven straight points for the Oilers to help keep the Vulcans at bay.  She ended the game by scoring eight of the Oilers final 12 points.

The Oilers shot 58.1 percent (25-of-43) from the floor in the win and held a 29-15 edge in points off the bench.

Lacey Kessler led the team with 13 points off the bench on 4-of-8 shooting while Haley Horstman had 12 points on 5-of-8 shooting from the floor.

Wuebker had 12 points in only ten minutes of action while Kristin Klausing had 11 points on 5-of-8 shooting.
