Huskies Come From Behind to Beat Oilers

The University of Findlay women's basketball team lost 75-60 against Michigan Technological University on Dec. 11 in Houghton, Mich. to give them a 4-2 record on the season.

The Oilers opened up a 41-30 lead at the half, but were out-scored by a 45-19 margin in the second half to drop their record to 1-2 in Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) play.

Senior guard Kristin Klausing led the way with a career-high tying 12 points and six rebounds. She also dished out five assists in 28 minutes of action.

Junior forward Margaret Wuebker had ten points and four rebounds while freshman guard Haley Horstman, senior guard Ciara Geiger and senior guard Nikki Gunning had eight points apiece.

The Oilers shot 48.3 percent (21-of-43) from the floor while the Huskies connected on 48.2 percent (27-of-56) of their shot attempts.

Brenna Heise led Michigan Tech with 22 points while Kelli Guy scored 18.

The Oilers will be back in action again on Saturday when they face Northern Michigan University at 1 p.m. in Marquette, Mich.
