The University of Findlay women's basketball team lost 74-59 to Missouri-St. Louis on Nov. 28 in St. Louis, Mo. The loss gives the Oilers a 3-1 record on the season.

The Oilers built a 36-33 lead at the break, but were out-scored by a 42-23 margin in the second half.

The Oilers shot 42.9 percent (24-of-56) from the field and held the Tritons to a 39.7 percent (27-of-68) shooting clip. The Tritons did force the Oilers into 14 turnovers and out-rebounded Findlay by a 41-36 margin. Findlay only forced six turnovers and allowed the Tritons to grab 18 offensive rebounds, which led to 18 second chance points.

Sophomore guard Haley Horstman led the team with 17 points on 6-of-11 shooting. She also added five rebounds, two assists and a steal in the game.

Freshman forward Anna Hintz also reached double figures with 11 points off the bench. She also grabbed six boards in the loss.

Senior forward Margaret Wuebker contributed eight points and five rebounds while fellow senior forward Kelsey Lewis contributed six points and five boards.

The Oilers will open Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) play next week when they travel to Sault Ste. Marie, Mich. to battle Lake Superior State. The game is scheduled for Dec. 3 at 5:30 p.m.
