Findlay, OH – The University of Findlay women's basketball team took on Northwood University on Thursday, Dec. 8 and fell by a score of 60-49 With the loss, the third in a row for Findlay, the Oilers have a record of 4-5 overall with an 0-3 mark in Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) play.
Sophomore forward Anna Hintz led the way for Findlay with her first career double-double. Hintz scored a career-high 18 points on 7-of-10 shooting from the floor and also added ten rebounds, which was a season-high.
Sophomore guard Allie Thobe added seven points and two steals while senior guard Karli Bonar chipped in six points and a rebound.
The Oilers shot 36.4 percent (20-of-55) from the floor and held a 36-30 advantage on the boards. Northwood meanwhile connected on 45.1 percent (23-of-51) of their shot attempts and had three players in double figures.
The Oilers are back in action on Saturday, Dec. 10 when they host Lake Superior State in a GLIAC matchup set to begin at 1:00 pm.
