Findlay Travels to Walsh for Season Finale
The Oilers will play their final game of the season when they travel to Walsh University on Thursday, Feb. 22 in Croy Gymnasium. That game will begin at 5:30 pm.

Series Information
The Oilers and Cavaliers have faced off 20 times with Findlay holding a 14-6 advantage in those games. Their first meeting came in the 1983-84 season in the second round of the NAIA District 22 Playoffs. The Oilers won that game 69-66, eventually reaching the second round of the NAIA Tri-District Playoffs before losing to Saginaw Valley State.
Earlier this season, the Cavs came into Croy and put Findlay to the test, taking the home team to overtime, a game which the Oilers won 76-73.
The Oilers looked to be in good shape after the first 20 minutes of action as they took a 38-30 lead into the locker room at halftime. However, the Cavaliers opened the half with a 10-0 run to go up 40-38 just three minutes into the third quarter. From that point on, neither team led by more than four points.
Walsh made a basket with one minute left to play to take a 66-64 lead. On the next possession, the Oilers put the ball in the hands of their preseason all-GLIAC selection, junior Haley Horstman. Horstman drove left and laid the ball in to tie the game with 26 seconds left.
In the overtime period got down 71-69 after two minutes but closed the game on a 7-2 run including a pair of free throws with eight seconds on the clock made by Horstman, forcing the Cavaliers to shoot a buzer beating three attempt.
Findlay
The Oilers have won four of their last six games and go into the final contest looking to finish .500 or better for the eighth time in ten seasons.
Playing in her final game will be the lone senior on the team, Karli Bonar. The Shadyside, Ohio native has been shooting threes since she stepped on campus in 2013. To date, Bonar has made 260 triples, shattering the previous school record of 232 by Trisha Lauck (1996-99), and holds the number two and three spots for three-pointers made in a season with 75 in her junior year and 71 in her sophomore year. Karli has scored 942 points in the Orange and Black, has 209 rebounds, 132 assists to just 95 turnovers, and 118 steals. On Thursday, Bonar will play in her 107th game with Findlay and make her 99th start.
Haley Horstman and Christa Puthoff are the team's leading scorers at 9.6 points per game and are each tied for the GLIAC lead with 27 starts. Puthoff is currently eighth in the league with a shooting percentage of 53.4%.
Anna Hintz has been solid all year and leads the team in rebounds at 7.3 per game while scoring 8.5 points per game.
Walsh
The Cavaliers have won five of their last seven games, giving them the final push they needed to earn the eighth and final seed in the GLIAC Tournament. Over that stretch, Walsh is averaging 72 points per game.
In their previous game, a 75-70 win over Tiffin, four players scored in double-figures. Alex Hochstedler scored 16 to lead the way while Brooklyn Wooten, a second team all-GLIAC performer a year ago and preseason all-GLIAC player this year, scored 15. Brittini Clopton scored 13 and Jalynn Graham chipped in 10. Graham and Clopton each had six rebounds to lead the way.
