Hintz Earns CoSIDA Academic All-District

CoSIDA Release

Findlay, Ohio – University of Findlay senior Anna Hintz has been selected as a member of the Google Cloud Academic All-District Women's Basketball Team on Thursday, Feb. 21. The award recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their performances on the court and in the classroom. Hintz is the first player in program history to receive the award.

Hintz is one of just five players in the region to receive the honor and will now be placed on the national ballot to be considered for all-American status.

This season at Findlay, Hintz has proven to be one of the top players in the region. She has helped lead the Oilers to a 17-6 record, starting in each one of the team's 23 games. The North Fairfield, Ohio native is currently leading the Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) in both scoring and rebounding at 18.7 ppg and 8.8 reb. To date, she has scored 1,398 points in her career, tied for third all-time at Findlay, and has grabbed 818, second all-time at Findlay. She is looking to become just the second player in program history to record 1,400+ points and 800+ rebounds in a career, joining Mianda Watts (1996-00) as two of the top players to ever don the Orange and Black.
