Gubser, Schambs Lead Oilers After Day 1 at ODU

The University of Findlay women's golf team is currently in third place at the Ohio Dominican Give 18 Fore Cancer Classic as the first round of competition was completed on Saturday, March 31.

The Oilers shot a 314 and were paced by Ashley Gubser and Michele Schambs, who each are currently sitting in the top-ten.

Gubser fired a 75 and is tied for fourth while Schambs carded a 77 and is tied for seventh.

Brooke Albers (79), Trelyn Gerlinger (83), Lauren Vogt (86), Heather Steiner (89) and Emily Mock (103) also competed for Findlay on Saturday.

The tournament will conclude tomorrow.
