Oilers Finish 11th at Peggy Kirk Invitational
The University of Findlay women's golf team finished 11th at the Peggy Kirk Bell Invitational, which completed action on March 4 at the Tuscawilla Country Club in Winter Springs, Fla.
The Oilers shot a 3-round score of 976 at the tournament to take 11th. They fired a 338 in the opening round, came back with a 316 in the second and closed the event with a 322 for their total.
Kasey Petty tied for 32nd to lead the team as she carded a 240 (85, 75, 80).
Brooke Albers (84, 79, 80 – 243), Shelby Warner (84, 81, 80 – 245), Michele Schambs (85, 81, 82 – 248), Taylor Tweed (95, 93, 87 – 275), Hannah Schneider (97, 99, 97 – 293) and Emily Mock (107, 112, 102 – 321) also competed for Findlay at the event.
The Oilers will return to the links again on March 22-23 at the NCAA DII Spring Fling at the Perry Park Country Club in Perry Park, Ky.
