The University of Findlay women's golf team is five strokes back of Grand Valley State University after the second day of the 2015 Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) Championship, which is being held at the Findlay Country Club.

The Oilers fired a 302 on Saturday during the second round, their third lowest 18-hole score in school history, and have a two-day total of 614. Grand Valley State is leading the event with a 609 (307, 302).

Senior Michele Schambs is tied for the 36-hole lead after posting her second consecutive even-par score of 72 in round two. Schambs who has a 144 (72, 72) is tied with Grand Valley State's Gabrielle Shipley for the tournament lead and her 36-hole score is the lowest in school history. She had two birdies and two bogeys during her second round.

Junior Kasey Petty fired a 76 on day two and has a two-round score of 153 (77, 76) and is tied for fifth at the event. Petty had two birdies and ten pars during her second round.

Sophomore Shelby Warner is also in the top-10 as she is tied for ninth with a 155 (83, 72). Warner carded an even-par score of 72 in the second round, which included an eagle and a birdie.

Freshman Kelsey Koesters is tied for 22nd with a 162 (80, 82) after posting an 82 in the second round while junior Hannah Schneider is in 34th with a 170 (87, 83) after carding an 83 on Saturday.

The tournament will conclude tomorrow. The teams will tee off at 9 a.m.
