Petty 2nd, Oilers 3rd at Grand Valley
The University of Findlay women's golf team placed third at the Gilda's Club Laker Fall Invite, which wrapped up second round action on Sep. 27 at the Meadows in Allendale, Mich.
The Oilers shot a 310 on both days of the tournament to end the event with a 620. Missouri-St. Louis won with a 610.
Senior Kasey Petty carded a 76 on Sunday and ended as the tournament runner-up. She posted an even par score of 72 on Saturday to complete the tournament with a 148.
Junior Shelby Warner recorded a 1-over par score of 73 on Sunday after producing an 80 on Saturday. Her score of 153 was good enough for sixth place at the event.
Freshman Mikaela Hickey tied for 15th with a 159 (77, 82), sophomore Kelsey Koesters finished in a tie for 17th with a (82, 78 – 160) and freshman Makenzie Torres tied for 20th with a 81, 81 – 162).
Freshman Samantha Hatter (87, 80 – 167) and senior Hannah Schneider (90, 90 – 180) also competed for Findlay at the event.
