Results

Lexington, Ky.- The University of Findlay women's golf team finished in first place in the stroke play portion of the Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) Championship, which wrapped up day two today, Apr. 28.  The event is being held at the 6,014 yard, par 72,  University Club of Kentucky's Big Blue Course- which has hosted the event dating back to 2019. They recorded rounds of 290 (+2), 296 (+8), and 292 (+4).

Leading the Oilers was junior Gabby Woods. Woods recorded rounds of 69 (-3), 75 (+3), and 70 (-2) to capture the individual title. Her two-under par 54-hole score of 214 is the fourth best in program history. This is Woods' fifth win of her career, tying Kristina Kniesly ('17-'22) and Makenzie Torres ('15-'19) for the most all-time at Findlay in the NCAA era. The Sabina, Ohio native joins Torres as the programs only two-time conference champion. Woods earns first team all-conference with her performance today.

Quote from Head Coach Dominic Guarnieri

Today was another solid day. I am really happy for Gabby. She played her last 27 holes, three-under par to secure the win. As for tomorrow- our mentality doesn't change. We just need to stick to our game plan and focus on ourselves.

Findlay is chasing their fifth consecutive G-MAC title and sixth consecutive conference title. The Oilers will tee off tomorrow starting at 8:30am.
