Lankton Named GLIAC Player of the Week

Senior Sarah Lankton was named the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) Women's Lacrosse Player of the Week on March 22.

Lankton led the Oilers to a 2-0 record last week by scoring a combined six goals in the two games. She also had four assists, 11 draw controls, three ground balls and two caused turnovers in the victories.

Lankton began the week with three goals, three assists and eight draws in the Oilers 23-2 win at Urbana on March 16. She then closed the week with three goals, one assist, three draws, three ground balls and two caused turnovers in Findlay's 12-11 win at home over Tiffin on March 20.

The Carmel, Ind. Native, who has been named the GLIAC Player of the Week four times during her career, ranks fourth in the league with 13 goals this season. She also ranks third in the GLIAC with eight assists. Her 18 ground balls lead the league while her 27 draw controls ranks second.
