Oilers Win 13-11 on Senior Day

The University of Findlay women's lacrosse team captured a 13-11 win over the University of Indianapolis on May 1 at the Armstrong Sports Complex. The senior day win for the Oilers gives them a 10-7 record on the season with a 7-5 mark in the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC).

The Oilers dominated the draws in the game, holding a 20-7 advantage in the statistic. They also out-shot the Greyhounds by a 26-25 margin.

Junior Kyra Bradley led the Oilers with three goals and three assists in the game. She also recorded two draws, grabbed two ground balls and caused two turnovers in the victory.

Sophomore Olivia Sherman and freshman Brie Caruso each scored three goals apiece while senior Mackenzie Barnwell contributed two scores.

Seniors Taylor Trice and Sarah Lankton each scored a goal apiece in the win as well. Lankton also added eight draw controls and seven ground balls.

Sophomore Rachel Heath picked up the victory with seven saves in goal.

The Oilers have secured the three-seed in the GLIAC Tournament and will host Lake Erie College in the first round on May 3. The contest is scheduled to begin at 5 p.m.
