Oilers Break Records | Beat D&E 23-3

The University of Findlay women's lacrosse team ended the regular season with a 23-3 win over Davis & Elkins College on April 29 at the Armstrong Sports Complex. The win gives the Oilers a 14-3 record on the season with a 10-2 mark in the Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC).

Olivia Sherman scored six goals and had three assists to lead the way. Sherman also registered four ground balls and won five draw controls.

Jacelyn Litman had five goals, two assists and 11 ground balls. Her 11 ground balls established a new single-game record in G-MAC play.

Hannah Peebles recorded three goals and three assists, Ciara Burud had three goals, two assists and five draws, and Jordan Reineke posted two goals in the win.

Brooke Eicher captured the victory and made one save in the game.

The Oilers outshot the Senators 61-4 and held a 44-10 advantage in ground balls. Their shot total established a new school record. Their 40 shots on goal during the game also tied a school record.

The Oilers will now prepare to battle Walsh University in the semifinals of the G-MAC Tournament. The contest is scheduled to be played at 1:30 p.m. on May 3 in Painesville, Ohio.
