Caruso | Stephens Earn Weekly Honors

Senior Brie Caruso was named the Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) Offensive Player of the Week after leading the Oilers to a league tournament title while junior Brittany Stephens captured Defensive Player of the Week honors.

Caruso led the Oilers with ten points during the tournament as she scored eight goals to go along with two assists. She also won eight draws and picked up two ground balls.

In the Oilers 18-7 win over Walsh in the semifinals, Caruso paced Findlay with six goals and two assists. She then followed with two goals in Findlay's 9-8 win over Tiffin in the final, which included the game-winning goal.

Stephens meanwhile led the Oilers defense, which limited their opponents to only 42 shots and 15 goals during the tournament. She also picked up four ground balls in the tournament.
