Roughnecks Face Difficult Schedule

The University of Findlay Roughnecks will begin their 2011-12 season Nov. 5 and will have a tough road of wrestling ahead of them.

After their Nov. 5 debut at the Eastern Michigan Open in Ypsilanti, Michigan, the Roughnecks will head back to Michigan one week later for the Michigan State Open in East Lansing.

Findlay will wait nearly a month before the first dual meet of the season on Dec. 2 against the University of Pitt-Johnstown in Johnstown, Pennsylvania.

A busy month follows as the Roughnecks head to Ada, Ohio on Dec. 3 for the Ohio Northern Invitational, followed by the Midwest Classic in Indianapolis, Ind. on Dec. 18-19, and the Grand Canyon Duals in Phoenix, Arizona on Dec. 31.

The NCAA Division II National Duals will be held in Springfield, Illinois on beginning on Jan. 7 and will be the Roughnecks first major test of the New Year.

Findlay rounds out their January schedule on the 21st in Kenosha, Wisconsin, followed by a trip West Liberty, West Virginia  on the 27th.

The Roughnecks will take on GLIAC rival Ashland University on Feb. 5, then turn around and take on Mercyhurst College at home on the 10th and the University of Indianapolis on the 11th in Indianapolis, Indiana.

The Roughnecks will compete at the NCAA Regional Tournament in Edmond, Oklahoma on Feb. 24 and then head to the National Championship in Pueblo, Colorado on March 9-10.
