#14 Rougnecks Take Down #11 Lakers, Win 27-16

The University of Findlay wrestling team, ranked 14th in the country, came away with a 27-16 win over #11 Mercyhurst College on Friday, Feb. 10 in Croy Gymnasium.

Sixth-ranked Ben Sergent got the Roughnecks off to a good start with a 15-1 win over T.J. Stanton in the 125-pound weight class. 

After a few wins for the Lakers, Jeremy Espinoza captured a 7-3 victory against Michael Griffith in the 149-pound weight class.

Trailing 12-7 after the 157 pounders, Mason True came away with a 12-1 win over Adam Lamancusa in the 165-pound bracket before second-ranked Michael Lybarger earned a 12-3 win over August Mizia at 174.

Lybarger's victory gives him 109 during his career, the fifth best total ever at UF.

Leading 15-12, sixth-ranked Adam Walters scored a pin against Patrick Leahy in 6:00 during the 184-pound bout.

After a win from the Lakers, heavyweight Andrew Tumlin sealed the deal with a pin over fourth-ranked Fred Hale in 5:50.
