Roughnecks Move Up in Poll, Ranked 7th Now

The University of Findlay wrestling team moved up one spot in the latest National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA) poll, which was released on Tuesday, Jan. 29.  The Roughnecks, who were eighth in the last poll, are now ranked seventh in the nation.

In addition the Roughnecks have four individuals ranked nationally, led by junior Adam Walters who is ranked second in the 184-pound weight class.

Walters has a 17-1 record on the year and has been the top-ranked wrestler in the nation for most of the season.

Junior Ben Sergent is ranked sixth in the 125-pound weight class, senior Andrew Tumlin is seventh in the 285-pound weight class and senior Mason True checks in eighth at 165.

Sergent sports a 19-8 record, Tumlin has achieved a 22-8 mark and True is currently 24-14 on the season.
