#14 Roughecks Defeat Ashland 17-16

The 14th-ranked Roughneck wrestling team tied Ashland University 16-16 after ten matches on Feb. 3 in Croy Gymnasium, but came away with the victory due to tiebreaker scenarios.

Ryan Skonieczny claimed the first win for Findlay when he defeated Robert Mason by a score of 3-1 in the 141-pound weight class. Nick Goebel, the top-ranked wrestler in the nation at 149, then claimed a 10-2 major decision win against Brent Fickel before Joey White scored a 6-1 victory against Colton Ullman in the 157-pound weight class.

At 165, Nic Skonieczny scored a 5-2 win against Christian Price. The last win for the Roughnecks then came in the 184-pound weight class as Randy Caris defeated Brandon O'Neill 3-1.
