#18 Roughnecks Go 2-2 on 2nd Day in S.C.
The University of Findlay wrestling program, ranked 18th in the nation, posed a 2-2 record on the second day of the Abbey Duals, which wrapped up on Jan. 27 in Newberry, S.C.
The Roughnecks began the day with a 28-12 loss against Limestone. They then claimed a 27-18 win over 22nd-ranked King and scored a 29-19 victory against Belmont Abbey. They finished the day with a 27-19 loss to 13th-ranked Newberry.
Bradley Metz and James Wimer led the way by posting 4-0 records on Saturday and went 6-0 at the event over the weekend. Metz, who is ranked fifth in the nation, achieved his record in the 184-pound weight class. Wimer meanwhile went undefeated at 157.
Gerald Beck went 3-1 at 285 on Saturday while Josh Wimer posted a 3-1 record as well at 149.
