Findlay, Ohio – The University of Findlay wrestling team, fresh off of their win at the 2023 Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) Championship last week, took on the sixth-ranked University of Indianapolis Greyhounds in a dual on January 23 in Niekamp Arena.
The event started at 184 pounds where senior Mark Trifelos picked up a 5-2 victory to put the Roughnecks ahead on the scoreboard.
At heavyweight, Findlay's Keigan Yuhas produced a convincing 5-0 decision to bring the dual even at 6-6.
In the 125-pound bout, Graham Shore was trailing 14-12 with time winding down, and with just three seconds remaining, while trying to pick up some last-second points, Shore was pinned. That defeated put the Greyhounds ahead 12-6.
Findlay's Gavin Ritter came back with a 7-3 victory at 133 pounds to get the Rougnecks back within three at 12-9, but Indy handled their business down the stretch to earn the dual victory.
