Oilers Fall to Timberwolves 3-2 in 2OT

The University of Findlay women's soccer team was defeated 3-2 in double overtime by Northwood University on Friday, September 16 at DeHaven Field. The loss gives the Oilers a 2-4 record on the season with a 2-2 mark in the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC).

Responding to a Northwood goal in the 14th minute, Findlay's Megan Gallaway found Ann Eichman to tie the match 1-1 at 14:24.

The Oilers took the lead during minute 74 as Caitlyn Theaker scorched the net from 15 yards out. A Northwood score in the last 17 seconds sent the contest into overtime, where the Oilers fell in the second overtime.

Alicia Tutino generated three saves in the match.

Amanda Watson, Heather Rhodes, and Tonya Sitney all recorded goals for Northwood.

The Oilers will return to action on Sunday, September 18 when they host Saginaw Valley State University. The conference contest is slated for a noon start.
