Oilers Picked to Finish 9th in the GLIAC

The University of Findlay women's soccer team was picked to finish ninth in the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) this season as the league announced their annual preseason coaches poll on Thursday, Aug. 23.

The Oilers received 70 points in the poll as Grand Valley State University was tabbed the favorite with 169 total points.

Findlay finished with a 7-9-1 mark in 2011.  The 2012 season will amark the first year Crystal Dye will lead the team after taking over for long-time coach Andy Smyth.

Sophomore Eryn Weber looks to build on her strong freshman season when she scored a team-high four goals for the Oilers. Junior Ann Eichman also looks to get her season started off in the right direction after finishing second on the team with three goals.
