Oilers Suffer 1-0 Loss at St. Joseph's

The University of Findlay women's soccer team lost 1-0 at St. Joseph's College on Sunday, Sep. 2 to fall to 0-2 on the season.

The Oilers kept the pressure on the entire game, but could not find the back of the net in the game.  They out-shot the Pumas by a 30-12 margin, but Pumas goalie Amanda Volk stopped everything in her path en route to 16 saves.

Findlay also held a 10-2 advantage in the corner kick department during the game.

Kelsea Corns took the loss in the net for the Oilers, allowing one goal while making four saves.

The Oilers will now have some time off before their home opener on Sep. 12 against Urbana, which is scheduled to begin at 4 p.m. on DeHaven Field.
