Oilers Fall To Northern Michigan, 3-0

The University of Findlay women's soccer team was shutout by the score of 3-0 against Northern Michigan University on Sunday, Sept. 30 in Marquette, Mich.

The Wildcats scored their first goal in the 33rd minute and never looked back, tacking on two more in the second half for the win.

Despite the loss, the Oilers outshot Northern Michigan 11 to 10, and recorded six shots on goal. Sarah Silone was responsible for half the team's shots on goal with three.

Kelsea Corns had three saves between the posts in the game.

With the loss, The Oilers record drops to 2-5-1 with a 2-2-2 mark in GLIAC play. Their next matchup will be at Lake Erie on Thursday, Oct. 4. The game is scheduled for a 12:30 p.m. kickoff.
