Lady Oilers Shutout Dragons 4-0

The University of Findlay women's soccer team defeated Tiffin University 4-0 in their final game of the season Friday, Oct. 30. The win brings the team's end of season record to 2-12-3 with a 1-9-2 mark in the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC).

The Lady Oilers took the lead against the Dragons when senior captain Kendall Kwiatkowski scored in the 32nd-minute of play.  At halftime Findlay still held the 1-0 advantage and had outshot Tiffin 9:0.

Findlay came out strong second half with senior Kirsten Fruchey scoring in the first minute of play.  Freshman Marissa Swindell earned the assist for the goal.  The Oilers dominated the remainder of the half outshooting the Dragons 15:2. Swindell picked up her sixth goal of the season when she scored in the 62nd-minute of the game.

Kwiatkowski scored her second goal of the game to bring the final score to 4-0.  The goal gives Kwiatkowski 4 goals scored for the season. Senior Carly Morris salvaged the Oiler shutout by heading an on frame Tiffin shot out of Findlay's open goal.  Sophomore goal keeper Bre Parrish earned the win in goal.
