Oilers Fall for First Time on the Season

North Canton, Ohio- The University of Findlay women's soccer team suffered their first loss of the season on Nov. 2, falling 2-1 at Walsh University. The loss moves the Oilers record to 12-1-1 (10-1-1) while the Cavaliers improve to 12-4 (9-2) on the year.

The Oilers fell behind 1-0 in the first half before Walsh added another score in the 82nd minute to put Findlay down 2-0. Senior Sierra Peacock got one to go to the back of the net in the 85th minute to close the Cavaliers' lead to a 2-1 marginm but in the end, Findlay ran out of time in their comeback bid.

Despite the Oilers winning in the shots taken category 11-8, the Cavaliers made due with their two goals on three shots taken on goal. The Oilers still hold the top spot in the G-MAC with one game remaining in the regular season. They will look to bounce back against Tiffin University on Tuesday, Nov. 5.
