Don't Call it a Comeback

The Oilers tacked on another road win when the defeated Kentucky Wesleyan by a score of 2-1 on Sep. 30. This brings their record to 5-1-1 overall and 4-0-1 in the conference. They are now tied with Ashland and Trevecca Nazarene for first place in the Great Midwest Athletic Conference. 

The Panthers started the game off with a goal in the 11th minute by Madisyn Hunt off an assist by Elizabeth Collier. They Oilers kept them there for the rest of the game. 

Findlay started the second half off strong with a goal by junior Sam Francis in the 49th minute off of an assist from senior Olivia Frank. The Oilers broke the 1-1 tie in the 77th minute when junior Sage Schnell scored what ended up being the game winning goal off an assist from sophomore Anna Meixner. 

Findlay goalkeeper sophomore Kennedy Slovak recorded one save in her 13th career win in goal for the Oilers. 

The Oilers will be back in action on Oct. 2 at home where they take on Trevecca Nazarene at noon in a battle of GMAC first place powerhouses.
