6 Oilers Earn All-Conference Honors

Six members of the University of Findlay women's soccer team were named all-Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) on Nov. 10 for their performance during the 2021 campaign.

Sophomore Alyssa Stark was the lone Oilers player to be named first team all-conference after spearheading Findlay's defensive unit. Stark, who was a second team all-conference pick in the spring and the G-MAC Freshman of the Year, started all 17 games for the Oilers. She led a unit that only gave up 12 goals on the year, the third-best mark in the conference.

Senior Paige Casto and sophomore Kennedy Slovak also played a huge role for the Oilers defense and were both tabbed second team all-conference. Casto, who has now been named second team all-conference in each of the past three seasons, started 16 games and scored one goal. Slovak, a first team all-league selection in the spring, started all 17 games as the Oilers goalkeeper and made 79 saves. She recorded eight shutouts and had an 11-2-4 record.

Senior Olivia Frank, junior Sam Francis, and sophomore Madeline Nartker were also rewarded for their stellar play this season by earning third team all-conference honors. Frank, the G-MAC Offensive Player of the Year in the spring, scored four goals and had two assists while Francis led the team with five goals and a pair of assists. Nartker meanwhile led the squad with five assists and also recorded two goals.
