The University of Findlay men's and women's swimming and diving teams were both defeated by Wayne State University on Friday, January 27 at Sink Natatorium.  The men's team fell 108-84 while the women were defeated by a 132-99 margin.

On the men's side, David Vittori had a hand in two first place finishes as he won the 1000-yard freestyle with a time of 10:02.00 and teamed with Diego Santos, Colton Sayers and Colton Brauning to win the 400-yard freestyle at 3:18.97.

Santos also had a first place finish in the 100-yard backstroke as the topped the field with a time of 54.34.

David Soutoul also had a terrific night for the Oilers as he came away with a first place finish in the 100-yard breaststroke at 59.87 and placed second in the 200-yard IM with a school record breaking time of 1:54.85.

On the women's side, Annie Currin broke a school record in the 500-yard freestyle after crossing the line in 5:09.24 while also adding a first place finish in the 200-yard freestyle at 1:57.30.

Maddie Bell won the three-meter dives with scores of 208.50 and 358.80, respectively, while Molly Cade turned in the top finish in the 100-yard butterfly at 58.74.

The Oilers will be back in the water again tomorrow as they compete at Wilmington as well as the Wayne State Diving Invitational.
