Makepeace Hired as Swimming Coach

Andrew Makepeace has been hired by The University of Findlay athletic department to lead both the men's and women's swimming and diving teams.

"Following a thorough search, I am excited to announce that Andrew Makepeace has decided to join our family as our new head men's and women's swimming coach," said Director of Athletics Steven Rackley.  "Andrew did a great job during the interview process and I am sure he will be able to take our program to the next level."

Makepeace comes to the Oilers after serving as an assistant coach at Minnesota State-Mankato, a job he held since 2008.  He also has over seven years of experience at the club and high school levels.

"I am incredibly excited about this position and I am eager to get started," said Makepeace.  " My goal is to help the University in any possible way that I can while also guiding the swimming program toward greater success at the conference and national levels."

A graduate from Minnesota State-Mankato, Makepeace earned all-conference honors with the Mavericks as a sophomore and junior and was tabbed the team captain during his final two years with the program.
