Oilers Complete Day 2 of ITA

The University of Findlay women's tennis team competed at the ITA Midwest Regional on Saturday in Allendale, Mich.

Nina Djordjevic advanced to the quarterfinals in the "A" singles competition with a 6-0, 1-6, 10-7 win over Grand Valley State's Alexa Sweeney, but was upended by Tiffin's Caroline Nelhage by a score of 6-0, 6-0 to end the tournament with a 3-1 record.

Matina Matic was also eliminated in "A" singles competition and finished the tournament with a 2-1 mark.

Both players teamed to go 1-2 in "A" doubles action as well.

Viktoriya Shkola and Melissa Djohan went 2-1 in the "B" doubles competition, losing in the semifinals by a score of 8-5 against Rachel Sumner and Courtney Lang from Grand Valley State.

Anna Foreman went 1-2 in "B" singles competition as well for the Oilers.

Kiara Shaw posted a 1-2 record in the "B" singles while Shkola went 0-2.

Foreman and Shaw also teamed to go 1-1 in "B" doubles competition.
