Women's Tennis Inks Three

Findlay, Ohio - The University of Findlay women's tennis team opened up their signing period with a trio of players representing two states. All three will begin their time at Findlay in the fall of 2019.

Kayley Gimbel | Galion, Ohio (Galion)

Kayley comes to Findlay from Galion High School where, to date, she has compiled a record of 83-15, all of which were played at first singles. Gimbel, ranked 27th in Ohio by the Tennis Recruiting Network, has been a first team all-district player and state qualifier in each of the previous two seasons and was named as her conference's Player of the Year following her junior season.

Her accomplishments in the classroom are equally as impressive as she has a 3.96 GPA and is a member of the National Honor Society. At Findlay, Gimbel plans on pursuing her degree in physical therapy.

Madison Arquette | Oregon, Ohio (Clay)

Madison will become an Oiler after playing her high school tennis at Clay High School for the past four years. Arquette was a state qualifier, the first male or female in school history to earn a trip to state, in her sophomore and senior seasons and is a three-time sectional champion. She holds the Clay High School record for career wins with 115. She is ranked 23rd in the state of Ohio by the Tennis Recruiting Network.

Taylor Lighty | Mesquite, Texas (Mesquite)

Taylor comes to Findlay from 1,084 miles away after four years at Mesquite High School in Texas. She played first singles in each of her four seasons at Mesquite and was named a captain in her junior and senior seasons. Lighty was her team's Player of the Year in her junior year.

Outside of tennis, Lighty is a member of the National Honor Society, president of the Science Club, and a Spanish Club member among multiple other extracurriculars.
