Oilers Fall in First Round of NCAA Division II National Tournament

Indianapolis, Ind.- The University of Findlay women's tennis team fell 4-3 to Drury University in the opening round of the 2023 NCAA Division II National Tournament, today May 1. The loss ends the Oilers season as they finish the year with a 18-6 record.

The Oilers captured the doubles point in the match and won two singles matches during the competition. Junior Emily Hadler and sophomore Zuzanna Krygier teamed to win the first doubles point by a score of 7-6 (7-4) while seniors Laiying Alvarado and Madison Arquette claimed a 6-4 victory. Sophomore Elina Ivanova and Alvarado scored the Oilers lone singles victories.
