Oilers Slay Dragons, 3-1

The University of Findlay volleyball team knocked off Tiffin University 3-1 (25-20, 27-25, 21-25, 25-19) on Friday, October 26, in Tiffin. The Oilers improve to .500 in the GLIAC (6-6) and 9-14 overall.

Findlay generated 10 service aces and 62 kills against the Dragons.

Danielle Taflinger had an astonishing .565 hitting percentage with 13 kills. Lindsy Reindel led Findlay with 14 kills. Both Maggie Naayers and Samantha Granger tallied 12 kills for the Oilers.

Amanda Calhoun recorded 51 assists while Becca Shoemaker made 21 digs in the contest. Andrea Holthaus added five blocks for Findlay.

The Oilers will return to action tomorrow, October 27, in Columbus to face GLIAC South Division foe Ohio Dominican. First serve against the Panthers is slated for 5 p.m.
