Oilers Knock Off Warriors 3-0

The University of Findlay volleyball team knocked off Wayne State University, the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) South Division leader, by a score of 3-0 (25-22, 25-22, 25-19) on Tuesday, Oct. 30 in Croy Gymnasium.

Senior Maggie Naayers led the team with ten kills while fellow junior Danielle Taflinger added seven.

Sophomore Amanda Calhoun recorded 24 assists while senior Andrea Holthaus had eight blocks.

Sophomore Lindsy Reindel chipped in four kills and nine total blocks in the win.

The Warriors had 33 total kills and 31 hitting errors while the Oilers racked up 31 kills and only had 15 hitting mistakes.

The Oilers, who are now 11-14 on the season with an 8-6 record in conference play, will be back in action again on Friday when they host Walsh University for senior day.  The contest is scheduled to begin at 7:30 p.m.
