In their final game at the Midwest Region Crossover, The University of Findlay volleyball team lost 3-2 (25-23, 20-25, 25-19, 18-25, 12-15) to #19 Lewis on Saturday, Oct. 17. The loss puts the Oilers at 15-5 on the season.
Three Oilers reached the double digit kill mark. Freshman Amanda Winner led the way with 21 kills. Junior Hannah Tong contributed with 17 kills and sophomore Nickyla Garverick had 14 kills for Findlay.
Senior Becca Shoemaker recorded 26 digs, which ranks sixth-best all-time at The University of Findlay in a single match. Sophomore Madelyn McCabe added 13 digs and freshman Kara Scherger had 12 digs.
Freshman Hailee Olson compiled 54 assists, while senior Julie Lyons led the team with three blocks.
The Oilers return to action on Friday, Oct. 23 when they travel to Ferris State. The match is scheduled to begin at 5pm.
