Oilers Ranked 5th in Midwest Region

The first NCAA Division II Midwest Regional rankings of the year have been released by the NCAA and the Oilers volleyball team sits fifth. The top eight teams at the end of the season in the regional rankings will compete in the 2016 NCAA Division II National Tournament.

The Oilers have a 17-7 record against NCAA Division II opponents this season and are 17-7 against teams in the Midwest Region.

Ferris State is currently in the top spot of the rankings and are followed by Lewis, Rockhurst and Wayne State. Cedarville is sixth and is followed by Saginaw Valley State, Grand Valley State, Ashland and McKendree.

The Oilers qualified for the regional last season and reached the round of 32 in the national tournament.
