Oilers Fall in NCAA Midwest Regional Semifinal

The University of Findlay volleyball team fell 3-0 (25-23, 25-10, 25-19) to Rockhurst University on December 1, in Romeoville, Ill. at the NCAA Midwest Regional semifinal. Findlay will finish their season with a record of 28-7. This is the most wins the Oilers have had in a season since 2003, and this is the second time in three seasons that the Oilers have reached the round of 32 in the NCAA tournament.

The Oilers were led by junior Amanda Winner who recorded 10 kills while sophomore Izzy Murphy had seven kills. Sophomore Shelby Kin and freshman Madison Moore each added six kills apiece in the loss.

Junior Hailee Olson had 33 assists and four digs in the win while junior Kara Scherger had 15 digs. Olson and Winner each added four digs apiece as well.

Senior Megan Wendel finishes her career with 619 digs and 69 Aces for the Oilers, and senior Erika Roach finishes her career with 276 kills and 288 total digs.
