Findlay Takes Down Trevecca in Five Set Thriller

Nashville, Tennessee- The University of Findlay won a five-set match (13-25, 25-20, 19-25, 25-20, 15-13) against Trevecca Nazarene University on Friday Sep. 24. This brings the Oilers to a 7-1 record on the year and 3-0 in conference play.  

The Oilers were once again led by freshman Journey Blevins. She had 24 kills to assist the team. Blevins also recorded four digs. 

Assisting Blevins was junior Emma Meyer who had 8 kills and hit .294. She also recorded two blocks. 

Sophomore Hannah Warrington had 7 kills while senior Madison Moore and junior Natalie Maras both contributed 6.  

On the defensive side, senior Ashton Terrill had 19 digs and was assisted by senior Olivia Morrison with 10 digs. Also assisting Terrill and Morrison was senior Abigail Schroeder who had 9 digs.  

The Oilers hit .168 for the match. They held Trevecca to a hitting percentage of .087 in the final set to come out on top.  

The Oilers are back in action Saturday, Sep. 25 at Kentucky Wesleyan University at 12pm.
