Oilers Dominate Pioneers | Findlay Wins on the Road

Canton, Ohio- The University of Findlay women's volleyball team won against Malone University in a three-set match (25-23, 25-12, 25-9) on Saturday Oct. 30 in Osborne Hall. This brings the Oilers to an 14-7 record on the year and 10-3 in the conference.  

The Oilers were led by junior Emma Meyer. She recorded 14 kills on 20 attempts leading her to hit .65. She also added four blocks.  

Assisting Meyer was freshman Journey Blevins. Blevins assisted with 15 kills and hit .375 on the match. She also had two blocks. 

Senior Madison Moore and sophomore Hannah Bruns both had 6 kills.  

On the defensive side, senior Ashton Terrill contributed 22 digs. She also tied a school record and set a new conference record with nine aces in the match.

The Oilers hit .344 for the match compared to Malone's .07. The Oilers dominated the third set hitting .524 compared to that of Malone's .059 to capture their first win of the weekend.   

The Oilers are back in action Friday, Nov. 5 at Hillsdale College at 7pm.
